Looking for ways to grow closer to
God? How about 26 ideas to get started?
Arrive early for Sunday Mass and prayerfully
look through the readings.
Begin to read the Bible on a daily basis.
Carry the burden of another.
Dedicate your life to the Blessed Virgin
Mary.
Enjoy some time before Christ in the
tabernacle.

Go visit a grandparent or elderly relative
in a nursing facility.
Hang out for awhile with your best friend,
Jesus.
Imitate the saints by never complaining.

Culture Day
Assignment:
On Friday, October 19th we will have a CULTURE DAY. During Social Studies class on that day we will be learning about different CULTURES and their CUSTOMS. Your assignment is to research your assigned COUNTRY and describe CUSTOMS that are shared within it. You will present your COUNTRY to the class on Friday. Your presentation must include:
The language spoken in the country 2pts
The capital of the country 2pts
A famous holiday celebrated in the country 2pts
The most popular religion found in the country 2pts
A common way to dress in the country 2pts
Music that is listened to in the country 2pts
A famous person from that country 2pts
Props (such as posterboard, items found/from the country, pictures, CD's with music) 2pts
Total points for presentation: 20pts
You will also be allowed to bring in 1 food item that is popular in that country. We will be sharing the food items during Social Studies Class. Please bring enough so that each student may have 1.
